CHARLOTTE  INGRAM  YANCE

 

OZARK. . .Charlotte Ingram Yance, a resident of the Ewell Community, near Ozark, died early Saturday evening, April 13, 2013, in the Dale Medical Center. She was 68.

            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in the Chalkhead Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy West officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 P.M. Tuesday in the church sanctuary.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chalkhead Baptist Church, 495 County Road 35, Ozark, AL 36360.

            Mrs. Yance was born and reared in Dothan and was a 1963 graduate of Rehobeth High School. She received an Associates Degree in nursing from Wallace Community College and was formerly employed by the Dale Medical Center and also as a nurse with Wiregrass Home Health. Mrs. Yance was a member of the Chalkhead Baptist Church. She lived in the Ewell Community most of her adult lifetime. Mrs. Yance was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Michele Yance, her father, Fred Hoyt Ingram, her mother, Mildred McCord Ingram Lewis, her step-father, Wesley LaDon Lewis and a brother, Donny Lewis.

            Surviving relatives include her husband of forty-nine years, John Earl Yance, Ozark; a son, John Earl Yance, II and wife, Michelle, Sherman, Texas; a sister, Joyce Ingram Knox and husband, Ronnie, Atlanta; a brother, Royce Ingram and wife, Judy, Jasper, AL; a sister-in-law, Derenda Lewis; five grandchildren, Brett Yance, Lauren Yance, Sterling Yance, Seth Yance, and Major Yance.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Freddie Ingram, Jack Ingram, Chase Ingram, Brett Yance, Seth Yance, Major Yance and Hunter Ingram. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Alabama State Troopers.
