ABBEVILLE…Chester Gerald (Jerry) Money, a resident of Abbeville, died Sunday, November 23, 2014, at his home. He was 70.

            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 25, 2014, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Thomas D. Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery-East. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Tuesday in the mortuary chapel.

            Mr. Money was a native of Abbeville and was reared in Panama City and Abbeville. He lived in Abbeville most of his adult lifetime. Mr. Money retired as a painter at Pemco Aeroplex and was formerly employed at the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Money is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Britni Money, his father, Chester Howell Money, his mother, Nadine Griggs Phillips, and his step-father, Arbie Phillips. 

            Surviving relatives include his wife of fifty-three years, Brenda Rollins Money, Abbeville; his daughter, Darlene Money, Dothan; his son, Dewayne Money (Traci), Headland; a sister, JoAnn Morris, Abbeville; five grandchildren, Rex Alan White, Breana Money, Brooke Martin (Chris), Josh Money, and Drew Money; sisters-in-law, Bessie Hammock (Charlie), and Lucy Clyde Bearry (Kermit).
