Christine R. Franklin

Christine R. Franklin, of Dothan, went home to the Lord Thursday, December 11, 2014. She was 63.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Rogers officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing. At other times the family will be taking visitors at 1301 Fairlane Drive, Dothan, AL.

Christine was born to the late Georgia Walker-Reynolds and Billie Taylor, January 2, 1951. Christine graduated in 1969 from Carver High School in Dothan, Alabama. She later furthered her education by receiving her degrees in nursing and business management.  She was united in holy matrimony to Ray Franklin. She professed Christ at an early age to First Missionary Baptist under the late Rev. Rochester Johnson, Sr.  and in later years moved her membership to Harvest Church under Pastor Ralph Sigler.

She is preceded in death by two sisters, Fannie Langley and Cassandra Corbitt and two brothers, Veander Reynolds and Preston Reynolds and two nephews, Reginald Offcut and Cora Corbitt.

She leaves on earth to cherish two sisters, Mary (Galand) Offcut of Dothan and Pamela Anglin of San Diego, CA; four sisters-in law, Donna Franklin, Rosie Lee Franklin, Janice (Jimmy) McMiller and Mary Lee Woolbright, all of Dothan; three brothers-in-law, George Franklin, Calvin Franklin and Steve (Dora) Franklin, all of Dothan; two brothers, Kenny Reynolds of Graceville, FL and Robert Reynolds of Dothan, AL; an uncle, Bobby Taylor of Dothan; a host of nieces and nephews and relatives and friends including her very dear friends, Norma (Candy) Dunlap and Mike Bedsole.
