Claudette S. Vaughan of Tallahassee, Fla. passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015.  She was 77.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.  Eastern Time at New Hope Baptist Church in Tallahassee on Saturday, September 12, 2015 with Rev. Carl Dunn officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, Ala. directing.  The family will receive friends at the church Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Mrs. Vaughan was born in Leon County, Fla. on August 17, 1938.  She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church since 1963.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Quinton Vaughan; grandson, Justin Ray Vaughan; her parents, Rev. Calvin C. Scarbrough and Bertie Lee Carroll Scarbrough; two sisters, Clarice S. Wilks and Theresa S. Moore; and one brother, Kenneth E. Scarbrough.

She is survived by two sons, Stan R. Vaughan and wife, Renee of Tallahassee and Terry L. Vaughan and wife, Jennifer of Starke, Fla.; two grandsons, James Patrick Vaughan and wife, Stephanie and Joshua Calvin Vaughan, both of Tallahassee; one brother, John Calvin Scarbrough of Tallahassee; and many nieces and nephews.
