Constance Peoples McEntire


Mrs. Constance “Connie” McEntire, 85, of Dothan died Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Flowers Hospital following a short illness. 


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Roy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory under the direction of Byrd Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to your local animal shelter or rescue group. 


Connie was born in Alliquipa, PA, moving to Florida in 1961. She later moved to Dothan in 1986. She was retired from Tarpon Springs Hospital and Flowers Hospital as a medical transcriptionist. She was a member of Christian Motorcycle Association and loved to ride motorcycles. Connie was an animal lover, leaving behind several beloved dogs and cats. She attended CCI, Victory Family and Harvest Churches.


Connie is preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Peoples; second husband, Lloyd McEntire; daughter, Cynthia Conard; and a grandson, Jeremy Coon.


Survivors include her son, Lawrence Peoples; daughters, Jacalyn Williams and Darcy Peoples; sisters, Donna Hickman and Myrna Batch; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
