Cris Lane Cobb of Chancellor passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was 46.

Memorial services will be at 12 noon on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at El Bethel Baptist Church in Chancellor with Reverend David Hingson and Dr. James Newell officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing.

Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the Guatemala Missions Team, c/o El Bethel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 506, Chancellor, AL, 36316.

Mr. Cobb was born September 12, 1967 in Anniston, AL to Patricia Ann Sutley Stephens and the late Robert Lane Cobb. An avid University of Alabama football fan, he also loved music and his dogs. He was a loving son and father, and a dedicated member of El Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include 1 son: Lane Michael Kersey of Inverness, FL; 1 daughter: Deanna Nicole Kersey of Inverness, FL; his mother and step-father: Patricia and Dee Stephens of Chancellor; 1 sister: Angela Cobb Paynter of Foley; and 1 brother: Scott and April Cobb of Chancellor.
