Mrs. Crona Bea Grace (fondly known as “Dutchie” ) passed away on July 31, 2013 at Flowers Hospital. She was 92.

Visitation will be held at Pilgrim Home Baptist Church, Wicksburg, Alabama on Friday, August 2 at 11 A. M. followed by a graveside service with Reverend Buddy Hood officiating.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions are made to Pilgrim Home Baptist Church, 13534 West U. S. Highway 84, Newton, Alabama 36352.

 

Dutchie was born on November 14, 1920. She was a member of Pilgrim Home Baptist Church, Wicksburg, Alabama. An avid gardener, she was known for the beautiful flowers that she grew and her beautiful yards. In her most recent years her primary love was being with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and close friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Earl Grace in 2002. Also preceding her in death were a sister and four brothers.

 

Survivors include two sons and daughters- in- law, Wallace and Mariam Grace of Dothan, Larry and Cindy Grace of Wicksburg, a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Annie Earl and Retired Major Richard R. Teipel also of Dothan. Grandchildren include Amy Grace, M.D. and her partner Liz Blanton, M.D. of New Orleans, Louisiana; Major Marsha Grace of Southern Pines, North Carolina; Heather Flowers and her husband, Joshua of San Diego, California; Felecia Tolleson and her husband, Bobby, of Dothan; Hollis Ryan and her husband Casey of Birmingham, Alabama; Donnie Reeves of Dothan; Karen Martin and her husband, Rex; Kelli Teipel; Kathy Teipel all of Dothan, Alabama. Also surviving are great grandchildren Trevor Richardson, Logan Richardson, Clayton Richardson, Tyler Smith, Nicolas David Grace, Caroline Emerson Grace (Emmie), John William Grace (Jack), Chase Thurman, Grayson Martin, Austin Martin, Catherine Andress and a sister, Lizzie Hubbard.

Much gratitude goes to nephew and niece, Gene and Nellie Jean Grace, Flowers Hospital 3 rd floor CCU nursing staff, Dr. Faye Rao, her nurse Amber, along with special friends, Barbara Hollis, Anndrea Faulk and Mrs. Jessie Hogue.
