CW3 (Ret) Harry L. Smith, Sr., age 84, of Daleville, AL, passed away, Monday, July 20, 2015 in Dothan.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise on Thursday from 11:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M.

Mr. Smith was in Special Forces for ten years before entering flight school.  He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, Multiple Purple Hearts and served in Korea and Vietnam.  He was President Johnson’s military pilot.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie M. Smith; son, Harry L. Smith, Jr; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Ron Snider, Enterprise, AL; sister-in-law, Pat Benton, Atlanta, GA.
