Cynthia Ann Whitted, 55, of Ashford passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Whitted was born February 17, 1957 in Oswego, NY and lived the early part of her life in Carthage, NY. She married John on February 17, 1979 and was a military spouse for 17 years prior to moving to Dothan in 1995 where she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Shirley Sabo and her brother Mike Sabo.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years John Elijah Whitted of Ashford; a daughter Krissy Lyn (Christopher Holman) Watson of Cowarts; former son-in-law Brian Nathaniel Gardner of Ozark; a grand-daughter Zoey Mae Gardner; brothers, Harold, David, Doug, and Tom; sisters, Velma, Regina, Maggie, and Christine; several nieces and nephews also survive.
