Cynthia Sherrece Edwards Posey of Level Plains, AL, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013, at Flowers Hospital.  She was 49.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. David Layton officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeralhome from 9:00 AM until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:  Alabama Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes  600 Beacon Parkway West, Suite 860, Birmingham, AL  35209.

Mrs. Posey was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Stayton.

Survivors include her husband, Marc Posey, Enterprise, AL; son, Robert Charles Stayton, Daleville, AL; 2 step-sons, Jayme Stayton, Daleville, AL,  Marc Garrett Posey, Enterprise, AL; mother, Doris Ellon Edwards, Level Plains, AL; father, Michael John Edwards, Sr., Level Plains, AL; 2 sisters, Sherry Ann Edwards Cooper, Level Plains, AL, Kristy Michelle Edwards Hearn, Birmingham, AL; brother, Michael John Edwards, Jr., Enterprise, AL; grandmothers, Dot Layton, Enterprise, AL, Eula Lois Brooks Pittman, Daleville, AL; 2 grandchildren, Charles Johnathan Stayton and Jusiah Stayton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
