Dale V. Miller, 86, of Dothan passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Extendicare Health and Rehab.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, September 1, 2013 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chuck Locke officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2pm on Sunday. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1152 West Main Street, Dothan, AL 36301 or to the American Cancer Society, 2346 West Main St., Suite 3, Dothan, AL 36301.

Mr. Miller was born September 8, 1926 in Allenville, Illinois. He was the son of the late Oscar and Matilda Miller. Mr. Miller served in the armed forces during World War II. He worked in the aviation industry for 50 years. Mr. Miller was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed deep sea fishing and gardening. He was a big fan of NASCAR racing. Mr. Miller was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his brothers, Irtis Miller and Don Miller; his sisters, Frieda Cole, Elnora Moses, and Lucille Stanley; and a daughter, Connie Adams.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Miller; his sons, Dennis (Sue) Miller and Dale Michael (Carol) Miller; his daughter, Lisa (Berry) Coleman; his son-in-law, Dennis (Suzanne) Adams; his grandchildren, Wade Miller, Michelle (Ashley) Whitehurst, Justin Adams, Rhonda Duncan, Adrienne (Jarett) Maddox, and Allison Coleman; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
