David Daniels, age 75, of Ashford, AL passed away Tuesday morning, March 25, 2014 at his residence.


 


Funeral services for Mr. Daniels will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 1:30 PM CST at Watermark Church in Ashford, AL with Rev. Todd Thorpe officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:30 PM CST at the church.  Interment will follow at 3:30 CST at Union Primitive Cemetery in Colquitt, GA with Scott Kirkland, John Daniell, Caleb Daniels, Joe Thompson, Scott Roberts, and Larry Palmer serving as active pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Marshall Williams, Ed Barber, Littleton Dekle, Cosby Kirkland, Frank Matson, Winston Shelley, and Ed Arnold.


 


Mr. Daniels was born in Colquitt, GA on September 9, 1938 to Murphy Daniell and Clyde Middleton Daniell.  He served his country in the United States Air Force, from which he retired in 1978.  He then worked at Shaw in Bainbridge, GA and retired from there also.  Mr. Daniels was a member of Watermark Church in Ashford, AL, where he was an inactive deacon.


 


He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Emmie Daniels of Ashford, AL; a son, Stephen David Daniels and his wife Caroline of Alabaster, AL; a brother, Randy Daniell and his wife Carolyn of Tifton, GA; and a nephew, John Daniell of Tifton, GA.  He is also survived by five grandchildren, Rebekah, Caleb, Hudson, Julia, and Evelyn Daniels.


 


Mr. Daniels was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy Daniell and Clyde Middleton Daniell; a sister, Vivian Tobias; and two infant brothers.


 


Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Union Primitive Cemetery Fund or Watermark Building Fund.
