David Hutto of New Brockton passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at his home following an extended illness.  He was 67.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2016 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Rev. John McCrummen, Rev. Charles Jones, and Rev. Ben Valentine officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

David was born August 27, 1948, in Henry County.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Inez Braswell Hutto; three sisters: Earlene Roberson, Frances Jerkins, and Everlene Walker; two brothers: Bill Hutto and Roy Hutto; and a lifelong friend, Winston “Red” Qualls.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Susan Hutto of New Brockton; a daughter, Kim Mitchell (Terry) of New Brockton; a son, Chris Hutto of Enterprise; a former daughter-in-law, Kris Hutto of Enterprise; three grandchildren: Tanna, Taryn, and Konnor; a sister, Mattie Lee Stokes of San Antonio, TX; several nieces and nephews.

The family thanks Southern Care Hospice for their loving, compassionate care.
