David Cowan, 54, of Blakely, died in an automobile accident Wednesday, June 5, 2013 in Webb, Al. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at  11 AM in the chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Dr. Alex Howell officiating.  The family will be receiving friends at  his mothers residence located at 139 Lakewood Dr. Blakely, Ga. 39823

David  Cowan was born May 13, 1959 in Andalusia, Al. to Mary Lou Williams Cowan of 139 Lakewood Dr.  Blakely, Ga. 39823 and Franklin Daniel (Frank) Cowan of P.O. Box 68,  Webb, Al. 36376. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Blakely. Self Employed; Previously  worked for several years for Federal State Inspection and a Telecommunications  Business.  David was a very likable person, who never met a stranger. David always had a smile on his face  and became friends  with most everyone who crossed his path.

Other than his parents who are listed above, he is survived by a brother; John Andrew (Andy) Cowan of Blakely. 2 Aunts: Edna Cowan and Geraldine Cowan of Geneva, Al. Uncle: Curtis McCoy Williams of Red Level, Al. Special Friend: Bea Mason of Red Level , Al. First Cousins: Bill and Hazel Owens of Wetumpka, Al, Wayne and Betty Posey of Blountstown, Fl, Eugene and Kathy Ammons of Andalusia, Al. and John and Mary Lynn Williams of Vestavia Hills, Al.
