SMSgt David Torguson (USAF Ret.), 73, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at a local hospital.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Sunset Memorial Park Pavilion with Rev. Don Clark officiating and Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Torguson was born June 6, 1942 in Colorado Springs, CO and lived the early part of his life there. He joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 18 and served for 27 years including tours in Vietnam prior to his retirement in 1987. He later resided in Gibsonton, FL where he was employed with the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Dept. for 10 years. He moved to Dothan in 2007 and was a Mason, a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife Maxine Torguson; his son, Glen Torguson; 2 granddaughters; his brother, Lawrence Torguson; several nieces and nephews.
