HUNTSVILLE…Delores Mitchell Rollins, a resident of Huntsville, formerly of Headland, died Tuesday afternoon, October 7, 2014, in a Huntsville Hospital. She was 67.

            Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 10, 2014, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Ricky Sowell officiating. Burial will follow in Old Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Wills Crossroads Community, near Abbeville. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary.

            Mrs. Rollins was a native of Midland City and lived in Headland before moving to Huntsville.  She was a member of the Old Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Rollins was the daughter of the late William Andrew Mitchell and Rosanna Smothers Mitchell Williams.

            Surviving relatives include two sisters, Carolyn Swaim (Harry), Scottsboro, AL and Frances Mitchell Hemphill (William), Rockvale, TN; a brother, Bobby G. Smothers (Carol), Elizabeth City, NC; two nieces, Kala Kendrick (Wayne) and Manua Lehman (Gary); three nephews, Jeffrey Rhodes (Dianne), Ron Rhodes (Cindy) and Mike Rhodes.
