Obituary: Doctor James Flood Paulk

 

Doctor James Flood Paulk, of Enterprise, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 in Bay Minette, Alabama. He was 79.

A Funeral mass will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the St. John Catholic Church in Enterprise, Alabama with Father Gregory Okorobia officiating. The family will have a Rosary at Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory chapel in Enterprise on Tuesday Evening, November 17, 2015 beginning at 5:00 pm and receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00pm. Memorialization will be by cremation.

Dr. Paulk was born August 26, 1936 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late John and Aloyse Flood Paulk. He was a Medical Doctor and practiced medicine in the Enterprise and Dothan area where he would finish his medical career working with the VA Clinic in Dothan, Alabama. He was also in the United States Army and served two years in Vietnam where he was awarded numerous medals for his service. He was a member of the St. John Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the St. John Catholic Church Building Fund, 123 Heath Street, Enterprise, Alabama 36330; Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, Alabama 36303, or the William F. Green State Veterans Home Activity Department, 300 Faulkner Drive, Bay Minette, Alabama 36507

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Paulk; six children: James Michael Paulk, William Donald Paulk, Alice Aloyse Olson, Jane Elizabeth Paulk, James Lawrence Paulk, Deborah Christine Kyles (Randall); one brother, John D. Paulk III (Virginia); one sister, Virginia Smith (Jack); six grandchildren: Colby, Cameron, Kay, Morgan, Calysta, Mekhi.
