SGM Donald F. Hausfelder (United States Army, retired) passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Healthsouth Rehab Hospital.  He was 86.

 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Pastor Jim Endrihs officiating.  Burial with full military honors will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday beginning at noon and continuing until service time.

 

Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 208 E Watts St., Enterprise, AL 36330.

 

Mr. Hausfelder was born June 9, 1930, in Glendale, California, to the late Sylvester and Altebelle Anslen Hausfelder.  He retired from the Army after 29 years of service, which included three tours in Vietnam.  He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church.

 

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Vera M. Hausfelder of Enterprise; son, Mark Hausfelder of Enterprise; grandson, Daniel Hausfelder.
