Donald George Stanton, 66, of Dothan, AL passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Flowers Hospital.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. Columba Catholic Church Chapel with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 - 11:30 am in the Narthex of the St. Columba Church.


Don was born on December 8, 1950 in Scranton, PA and lived the early years of his life in Lansdowne, PA. He was a 1969 graduate of Colonial Penn High School. Don was a veteran of the Vietnam War and he served in the U.S. Army as a combat photographer. He was a photographer where he owned and operated his photography business, Paws Pictures. Before moving to Dothan in 2002, he resided in Tamarac, FL. Don was employed with the Southside Wal-Mart for several years.


Don is survived by his wife, Mary and his mother, Mildred Primak.
