Mrs. Doris C. Townley James, age 91 of Ozark and formally of Greenwood, NE and Okeechobee, FL., died Friday, February 28, 2014 at Ozark Health and Rehabilitation in Ozark.


A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Reverends Joe Underwood and Dave Walsh officiating.  The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home until 8:00pm.  At other times the family will receive friends at home of Rhonda and Mark Etheredge in Ariton, AL.

Mrs. James was born December 20, 1922 to the late William and Beulah Townley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell R. James, four brothers, Wayne, Don, Gene and Dean Townley.


She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Gayle James of Ozark; her granddaughter, Rhonda Etheredge (Mark) of Ariton; two great-granddaughters, Allie and Addison Etheredge of Ariton; one brother, Richard Townley of Vienna, Va. and one sister, Lois Baggesse of Arvada, CO; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.


The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Ozark Health and Rehabilitation for their outstanding care and love.
