Doris Lucille Layton, 95, lived in Enterprise, AL & Sky Valley, GA, died January 3, 2017 at Friendship Health and Rehab in Cleveland, GA. She was the daughter of John A. Bivins and Ebbie Bivins Holland.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 6, 2017 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Billy Cardwell officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

She loved flowers, gardening and fishing and was a lifelong member of First Assembly of God Church in Enterprise. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William Conway Layton, her sister, Ruth Welch, brothers, Cecil Bivins and Ralph Bivins.                                            

She is survived by one daughter, Lanelle Layton Chitwood (Embree) and one grandson Teague Conway Chitwood (Kim).
