Doris Mangler Moore passed away on July 12, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center at the age of 92.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sam Parks officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 2 to 3 PM at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.

 

She was born May 8^th, 1922 in Brooklyn New York, and resided in the early years in Daytona Beach, Florida. A graduate of Seebreeze High in Daytona, Fl. and after high school she attended business school. She and her deceased husband, Charles returned to Dothan to own and operate Moore Furniture Company. Mrs. Moore worked for years as a lunch room manager at Cloverdale School. Mrs. Moore attended Cloverdale United Methodist Church for many years. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Eastern Star for many years in the past.

 

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Moore and a son James (Jimmy) E. Moore. Survivors include son, Billy Moore (Brenda); sister-in-laws, Betty Mangler and Eloise Moore; granddaughters, Stacey Sellers (Heath) and Tina Moore Pouncey; great-grandchildren, Chase Blessman, Elizabeth Williams, Cooper Sellers, and Parker Sellers; several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends that have been touched by her love throughout her lifetime.

 

Family will be accepting flowers or contributions can be made to Cloverdale United Methodist Church.
