Doris leaves behind three sons: Ronald Parrish, David Parrish and Jeffery Parrish, one grandson, Kendrick Parrish, a sister Dottie Crutchfield, a sister Ethel Hall, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Doris was born and raised in Geneva, the daughter of William and Hettie Elmore. She was a current resident in the Wicksburg Community.

Doris was married to Ernest Parrish who preceded her in death in 1991. After his death, Doris became more involved in her local church. Her servant’s heart allowed her to teach a Sunday School class full of energetic children. She also worked with the women and put on special programs and activities.

Doris was a devoted mother and enjoyed meeting her children’s needs, spoiling them when she could and attending their activities and events.

Doris had a passion for helping others. She demonstrated this by volunteering at the local school. During her service at Wicksburg she helped several elementary teachers, worked with small groups of students as well as individuals who were struggling.

Doris will be buried at the Goodwater Freewill Baptist Church cemetery until our Lord returns for her.
