 HEADLAND. . .Dorothy Brannon Herriage, a resident of the Blackwood Community of Dale County, died late Friday night, January 2, 2015, in Westside Terrace. She was 86.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, January 4, 2015, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Brother Bill Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, AL 36303, or to the Westside Terrace Healthcare “Activities Department”, 501North Woodburn Drive, Dothan, AL 36303.


            Mrs. Herriage was born and reared in the Old Center Community of Henry County, daughter of the late Arizona Brannon and Dora Satcher Brannon. She lived in the Blackwood Community since 1992 where she was a member of the Blackwood Church. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Emily Dawn Cook, a son, Dwain Moring, a son-in-law, Arthur Floyd, a twin sister, Doris White, and two brothers, Joseph Loyd Brannon and Idas Brannon.


            Surviving relatives include her husband, David L. Herriage, Headland; a daughter, Linda Moring Floyd, Abbeville; a step-daughter, Teresa Bills, New Guinea; a sister, Mary Vee Brannon Faison, Headland; seven grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
