Mrs. Dorothy H. Taylor passed away Monday evening May 26, 2014 in Enterprise. She was 79.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2014 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise with Chaplain Kathy Stumbaugh, Reverend Jim Duhaime, and Dr. Michael Mynatt officiating. Burial will follow in the Enterprise City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. Taylor was born November 29, 1934 to the late Gus and Lorene Gibson Holmes. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Taylor Sr.; a son, John B. Taylor Jr.; a grandson, Freddy Wayne Taylor Jr.; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers.

Survivors include 1 son: Freddy Wayne Taylor of Enterprise; 2 daughters: Betty Lawford (Wayne) of Elba and Judy L. Taylor of Enterprise; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; and special friends, Retired Major Robert Fairweather (Tommie) of Florida.

The family will be gathered at the home of Josh and Lyndsay Elliott.
