Dorothy Mae Fleeman, of Newton, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at her home.  She was 79 years of age.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2015 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fleeman was born January 8, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a hardworking, caring and loving wife, mother, daughter and friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Coy Lee Fleeman; two sons, Alvin and Leonard Lancaster; her parents, Jessie Kersey and Clyda Pearl Nelson Kersey; a brother, Eugene Kersey.

She is survived by her son, Irving Lancaster, Ozark; daughters, Delores German (Roscoe), Ozark, Leverne Skipper (Melvin), Newton, Katherine Myers (Stephen), Ozark; sister, Beulah Marie Padgett (Bud), Ft. Myers, FL, Gladys Beatrice Chandler, Ruskin FL; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
