DUVON  WAYNE  SMITH

ABBEVILLE. . .Duvon Wayne (Buddy) Smith, a resident of Abbeville, died Friday, October 11, 2013, at his home. He was 70.

            A memorial service will be held at a later date.

            Mr. Smith was a native of Georgia, son of the late Harvey Moulton Smith and Fannie Mae Meredith Smith. He lived in Chipley, Florida before moving to the Brown’s Crossroads community of Henry County in April 2013. Mr. Smith was employed as a truck driver most of his lifetime. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Castaneda, a sister, Addie Cloud, and a brother, H. M. Smith.

            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Karen Nichols, White Oak Creek; and Christy Edgil (Eddie), Abbeville; two sisters, Wynette Golden, Virginia; and Elishua Gran, Albany, GA; two brothers, Mack Smith, Chipley, FL; and Lloyd Smith, Albany, GA; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
