Edna D. Downing passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at UAB Hospital.  She was 86.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 8, 2016 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Ben Graham officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 5 PM.

Edna owned an independent insurance agency in Enterprise, and later she was an Allstate Agent in Dothan until her retirement.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Jane Conrad (David J.), Prattville, AL; son, Edwin D. Downing (Melissa), Trussville, AL; brother, Tony Harrison (Jackie), Franklinton, LA; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
