Edward C. Watson, 63, of Headland passed away Tuesday June 18, 2013 at his residence.


Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday June 24, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy West officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am prior to the service at the funeral home.


Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his parents Sarah Elizabeth Faulk and Jack Watson. He served 2 years in US Army and he was employed for 10 years at the former Comfort Inn in Dothan. His love and passion was his family especially his granddaughters and working on small engine repair.


Survivors include his wife Nancy Watson of Headland; his son Brian Watson of Headland; his daughter and son-in-law Diana and Adam Frost of Midland City; his granddaughters Mary and Destiny Frost of Midland City; his cousins Mary Watson of Ariton, Dorothy Schnepp of Federal Way, WA.


Serving as active pallbearers will be Brian Watson, Adam Frost, Kenneth Beaty, and Keith Beaty.
