Elaine Carol Helms

Elaine Carol Helms, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.  She was 77.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to AlaCare Hospice, 3329 W. Main St., Dothan, AL, 36305.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Bateman (Rodney) of Dothan; a son, David Helms (Freida) of Cottonwood; five grandchildren, Crystal Helms, Heather Helms, Sherri French (James), Erica Bateman and Jared Bateman; two brothers, Bruce Hillman and Larry Hillman and a sister, Joyce Atwater (Robert), all of New York.
