Elaine Holley Aplin of Smiley, TX and formerly of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 in Hacienda Oaks Nursing and Rehab in Seguin, TX.  She was 67.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Wednesday, July 30 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise with Dr. Michael Mynatt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Samson, AL with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home Tuesday from 6 until 8 pm.

Ms. Aplin was born November 24, 1946 in Samson, AL to the late Alvin and Thelma Pearson Holley.  She worked for many years with Sawyer Management Company and Martin-Colley Drugs in Enterprise.  She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Reba Seaburn; a brother, Harold Holley; son-in-law, Roger Crouch; and a grandson, Travis Carrington.

Survivors include her daughter, Paula Crouch, Smiley, TX; her son, Marcus Aplin (Bridget), Cullman, AL; 8 grandchildren: Taylor Carrington, Jordan Carrington, Ethan Crouch, Sydney Taylor, Melinda Carroll (Steven), Tyler Carrington (Tiffany), Adrianna Mitchell (Nic), and Pamela McGouirk (Daniel); 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews as well as numerous “adopted” children and grandchildren.
