Eleanor Britt Stewart of Bellwood passed away on Friday June 5, 2015.  She was 90.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Oak Ridge Church of Christ with Minister Steve Watts officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Stewart was born in Geneva County on November 17, 1924 to the late William Henry and Dessie Drinkwater Reynolds.  She was a charter member of Oak Ridge Church of Christ.  Prior to her retirement she was employed as a seamstress at Covington Industries for many years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Stewart; and seven of her siblings.

She is survived by her son, Larry Russell (Linda) of Kinston; daughter, Tena Shehee (Fredy) of Bellwood; four grandchildren, Lance Russell (Sherry) of Moody, AL, Leah Russell of Enterprise, Mark Shehee (Melissa) of Bellwood and Kelly Shehee (Kayron) of Elba; four great grandchildren, Whit and Cole Shehee, and Matthew and Elizabeth Russell; and her sister, Mattie Marsh.
