Eleanor Sue “Mama Sue” Booth


Eleanor Sue “Mama Sue” Booth, 85, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday, April 18, 2015.


Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bobby Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery (Chipley, FL) with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 – 7:30 on Monday.


Mrs. Booth was born January 12, 1930 in Washington County Florida and lived most of her life in Houston County. She was a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church. She loved her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed.


She is predeceased by her husband, Edison Booth, her son, Eddie Booth, a grandson, Paul Booth, a brother, Kenneth Woodham and two sisters, Velma Hinson and Shirley Miles.


Survivors include her son, Kenny Booth; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Booth; grandchildren, April Booth Shiver (Jason), Adam Booth (Regina), Amy Stokley (Dale), Rhonda Bass (Paul), Aaron Scott (Tanya) and Kim Booth; 17 great-grandchildren and a sister, Peggy Jackson.
