Elinor Y. Dunaway of Geneva passed away at Wiregrass Medical Center on Sunday, October 5, 2014.  She was 87.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Jake Brady officiating and Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 304 S. Academy Street, Geneva, AL 36340. 

Mrs. Dunaway was born in Geneva, Ala. on September 29, 1927 to the late Frank Allen Yielding and Evelyn McEachern Yielding.  She graduated from Geneva High School and the University of Alabama.  She was a longtime member at the Geneva First United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Dunaway, Sr. 

She is survived by her son, Eddie Dunaway of Geneva; grandson, Sidney Kyle Dunaway of Elba; four great grandchildren, Braxton Austin Dunaway, Abigail Ollie Dunaway, Emma Elisa Grantham and Deesa Helms.
