ELIZABETH  BRAKE  McGRIFF

 

HEADLAND. . .Elizabeth (Betty) Brake McGriff, a resident of Headland, born July 2, 1936, died Sunday morning, June 8, 2014, at her home. She was 77.

            Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, in the Headland United Methodist Church with Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. Visitation will be immediately following the services in the family life center of the church. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Headland United Methodist Church Building Fund, 103 West King Street, Headland, AL 36345, or to the Blanche R. Solomon Memorial Library, 17 Park Street, Headland, AL 36345, or to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, AL 36303.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Don McGriff;  three children, Sandra Langley (Ricky), Blakely, GA; Kellie McGriff, Montgomery, AL; and Don McGriff, III, (Lori Ann), Hartford, AL; three grandchildren, Tara Langley Sumner (Michael), Statesboro, GA; Kathryn Langley, Troy, AL; and Hayden Byrd, Dothan; three great-grandchildren, Daniel McGriff Sumner, Brantley Middleton Sumner, and Paxton Dooley Sumner, all of Statesboro, GA; a sister-in-law, Jeanine Henderson, Newnan, GA; a brother-in-law, Durell Whiddon, Headland; and beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
