Emily Elizabeth Goodwin Miller, age 85, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Donalsonville Hospital.


 Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held on Wednesday morning, December 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Dan Jessop and Rev. Tim Bell officiating.  Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA with Chip Stewart, Wade Spooner, Brad Clarke, Bob Youmans, David Fain, and Mark Hanna serving as active casketbearers.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 5:30-7:30 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.


 Mrs. Miller was born in Donalsonville, GA on October 6, 1929 to Homer Joel Goodwin and Annie Lee Tyler Goodwin.  She was the Vice-President of Commercial State Bank where she worked for 53 years before retiring. She was an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a longtime member of Eleanor Chason Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Wana Liddell Circle and an active member in the local chapter of the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. She also loved to play bridge.


 She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Joy Milliner (Larry) of Enterprise, AL, Josie Miller of Valdosta, GA; her grandson, Lee Milliner (Brynn) of Enterprise, AL; Her great granddaughters, Anslee Milliner and Emme Milliner; a sister, Mary Goodwin; brothers-in-law, Luther Hastey and Don Miller (Jessie); sisters-in-law, Betty Miller and Patricia Miller; and her caregivers, Jollie Igles and Shay Williams.


 Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Joel Goodwin and Annie Lee Tyler Goodwin; and her husband, Joseph Miller.


 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Donalsonville 300 South Tennille Ave. Donalsonville, GA 39845.
