Ernest Bradley Knighton, 70, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 at 2 PM EST., 1 PM CT.  in the chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jay Reppert and Rev. Hubert Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7-9 PM. EST. , 6-8 PM CT.


Serving as active pallbearers will be; Johnathan Vasquez, Ricky Taylor, Ronnie Taylor, Shelly Goocher, Stacey Knighton and Calvin Knighton. Honorary pallbearers will be; Ted Knighton, Joe Knighton, Brad Knighton, Terry Knighton and Bob Register.


Bradley was born May 19, 1944  in Blakely, Ga.  to the late Clarence Ernest Knighton and Raynelle Womble Knighton Lane. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and also attended Hilton United Methodist Church. He was owner and operator of Bossman Hot Sauce Co. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father: Wilmer (Red) Lane.


Bradley is survived by his wife: Martha Jean Crooms Knighton; daughter: Latona Knighton Little of Blakely and a son: Waylon and Lisa Knighton of Blakely. 3 Brothers: Tony Ray Knighton of Blakely, Jasper and Jerry Knighton of Columbia, Al. and Larry Knighton of Columbia, Al. 4 Grandchildren: Kacey Kilpatrick and husband Johnathan  Vasquez and Kristen Kilpatrick both of Dothan, Al.; Jamie Jackson & husband Mark of Italy and Michael Welch of Greenwood, Fl. 8 Great-Grandchildren.
