Mrs. Ethel Marshalene Bowdoin King of Daphne, Alabama passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Oakwood North Baldwin Center for Living in Bay Minette, Alabama.  She was 82.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015 in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise.  Burial will follow in New Brockton City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time.

 

Mrs. King was born November 12, 1932 in New Brockton, Alabama, to the late Marshall and Willie Ethel Till Bowdoin.  She was a member of the Methodist Church.

 

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Willard R. Marler and Huston Funk, as well as a brother, Bernard M. Bowdoin.

 

Survivors include her husband, John M. King of Daphne; 3 sons: Jerry R. Marler of Dothan, Tommy W. Marler of Enterprise, and Huston Funk of Enterprise; brother, Pete A. “Jiggs” Bowdoin of Prattville; sister, Willie Nell Rountree of Montgomery.
