Mrs. Etta Lee Smith of Enterprise passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.  She was 97.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Lane Harris and Reverend Randy Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until service time.

Mrs. Smith was born on September 14, 1917 in South Carolina to the late Amos Lindsey and Sara Leila Brown Vail. She was a member at Macedonia Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, three brothers: R.E. Vail, David Vail, Curry Vail; one sister, Dora Kidd; and one granddaughter, Donna Lee Travis Beauchene preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, William Warren Smith, Enterprise, three children, Barbara Ann Travis (Ron), Panama City, Florida, Bill McClain (Helen), Athens, Georgia, Kenneth Smith (Susan), Enterprise; three grandchildren, Shirley Cartrette, Matthew Smith, Megan Smith, two great-grandchildren, Stephanie Ann Beauchene Fisher (Chad), Jenna Cartrette; one great-great-granddaughter, Hannah Lee Fisher, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
