Mrs. Eunice F. Hughes passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at her home in Chancellor.  She was 60.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Randall Pearson officiating.  She will lie in state at the church Wednesday from 1-2. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 11 from 6 – 8.

Eunice was born July 19, 1955, in Samson.  She was a faithful member of Union Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by many loving family members.

Survivors include her husband, Hayward Hughes, Chancellor; her mother, Betty Wilkerson (Ray), Samson; 5 children: Gary Adams, Chancellor, Selena Johns (Clay), Enterprise, Christina Gilbert (Elijah), Jack, Greg Adams (Torie), Chancellor, and Scott Hughes, Clarksville, TN; her brother, Chris Wilkerson (Sue Ann), Samson; 12 grandchildren: Brittany Thomaston, Cody Bearup, Bryce Adams, Andy Thomaston, Megan Faith Adams, Cassie Rae Jester, Courtney Jester, Zack Hughes, Kade Hughes, Josh Gilbert, Zack Gilbert, and Heather Hughes; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
