Evelyn J. Chinn of New Brockton, AL, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at her home.  She was 70.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Faron Golden officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 to 7 PM.

Mrs. Chinn was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Charles Chinn; sister, Joyce Christian; brothers, Hubert Michels, Maxie Michels, Roy Michels.

Survivors include her daughter, Gracie Rogers (John), New Brockton, AL; two sons, Charles Chinn (Amanda), Enterprise, AL; Allen Chinn (Kitt), Elba, AL; 10 grandchildren, Jonathan Rogers, Erin Rogers, Matthew Chinn, Charlie Chinn, Jr., Harley Chinn, Alonna Reeves, Tiffany Chinn, Crystal Clark, Nancy Chinn Dawkins, Brooke Dawkins; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Wanda Maynard, Wayne, WV, Lillian Scott, Salida, CA; 2 brothers, Loren Michels, Wayne, WV, Arthur Allen Michels, Wayne, WV; sister-in-law, Donna Mae Michels, Wayne, WV; brother-in-law, Joe Christian, Modesto, CA.
