            Faye Kilpatrick Oney, a resident of County Road 45, South, Headland, died early Monday afternoon, November 9, 2015, at her home. She was 76.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 12, 2015, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Ricky Sowell officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Fellowship, 1328 U.S. Highway 431, South, Abbeville, Alabama 36310.

            Mrs. Oney was born in Cullman, Alabama. She moved to Mt. Dora, Florida with her family as a teenager and moved to the Tolbert Community of Henry County in 1973. Mrs. Oney was retired from WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville and in earlier years, was employed by Gibson’s Discount Department Store in Dothan. She was a participant in the Abbeville Senior Center. Mrs. Oney was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church, in Vinemont, Alabama and attended Freedom Fellowship in Abbeville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Kilpatrick and Audie Partain Kilpatrick, her husband, Everett Eugene “Gene” Oney and a step-son, Robert Oney.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Debbie Ryals (Gary), Rehobeth; two step-daughters, Jennifer Edelmann (Mike), Gallipolis, OH; Beth Dodd (Jim), Columbus, OH; a step-son, Calvin Oney (Alberta), Logan, OH; a sister, Sue Ann Slaten (Curtis), Sommerville, AL; three grandchildren, John Curtis Smith (Crystal), Christopher Smith and Brandi Buckner (Matt); four great-grandchildren, Annabella Smith, Gage Smith, Isaiah Ottavio and EmmaLee Ottavio; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
