Flora Virginia Kirkland passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at her residence. She was 79.

 

Born July 11, 1934 in Coffee County to the late Alter Allen and Mollie Bell, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Allen Love, and three grandchildren, Michael and Amy Hendrix, and Lisa Ottaviano.

 

Mrs. Kirkland is survived by her husband, Lawrence Kirkland of Dothan; her daughters, Gail Hendrix (Lamar) of Headland, Brenda Renfroe (Jerry) of Montgomery, and Darlene Ottaviano of Springdale, AR; her sister Mable Motley of Oplika, Al.; her grandchildren, Chad Jimmerson, Waylan Watkins, Tiffani Martin, and Daryl Ottaviano; one great grandchild, Trenton Allen Watkins, and several nieces and nephews.

 

Mrs. Kirkland was a kind and patient family oriented person, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, where her grandchildren were her heart and her interests included sewing, gardening, and cooking.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 AM until 12:30 PM Monday, February 10, 2014. Graveside services will follow at Gardens of Memory in Headland at 1:00 P.M. with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will be accepting flowers.
