Frances M. Edens of Enterprise passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at her residence.  She was 66.

In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, January 12, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the National Children’s Cancer Society, 500 N. Broadway, Ste. 800, St. Louis, MO 63102.

Frances was born December 11, 1948, in Wise County, Virginia, to the late Frank M. and Ruth Cora Gilley Price.  She was Beta Kappa at Wallace College in Nursing and worked 21 years as a nurse, earning recognition as Nurse of the Year twice.  She was a member of Echo Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael C. Edens; 1 sister, Marsha Price; and longtime friend, Ralph Marler.

Survivors include 2 sons: Johnny Marler (Jessica) of Enterprise and Larry Marler (Wanda) of Elba; 3 sisters:  Miranda Summers of Virginia, Barbara Helwig (Bill) of Ohio, Dawn Manning (Chuck) of Tennessee; 1 brother: Frank M. Price Jr. (Wendy) of California; 5 grandchildren: Christopher, Stephen, Matthew, Camara, and Chevy Marler; 1 great-grandchild, Madison; other precious and dear nieces, nephews, and friends.
