HEADLAND…Frances Kelley Davis, of Headland, died Wednesday morning, March 11, 2015, in the Henry County Health and Rehabilitation Facility in Abbeville. She was 94.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 13, 2015, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Cecil M. Sanders, Jr. and Reverend Neil Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the mortuary.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County Schools Libraries, P.O. Box 635, Abbeville, Alabama 36310.


            Mrs. Davis was born and reared in Dale County, daughter of the late Aaron Franklin Kelley and Mattie Shehane Kelley.  She lived in Headland most of her lifetime.  Mrs. Davis was a member of the First Baptist Church of Headland and participated in the Burdeshaw-Solomon Senior Center. She was formerly employed by Cash Drug Store and Ford Drug Company. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Davis, and all her sisters and brothers.


            Surviving relatives include a son, Billy G. Davis (Anne); three grandchildren, Andy Davis (Joy), Betsy Parris, and Annie Laura Atwell (Aaron); and five great-grandchildren, Haylee Davis, Andrew Davis, Ella Parris, Mason Parris, and Harper Atwell, all of Headland.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Tony Wilkerson, Phillip Kilgore, Sid Brannon, Chris Culp, Greg Armstrong, and Jim McLain. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Meadowlinks Golf Group.
