Mrs. Frances Whitehurst Radney of Dothan passed away December 9, 2015.  She was 85.

Visitation for Mrs. Radney will be Thursday December 10, 2015 from 4 to 6 PM at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2 PM at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Homer Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at Ashford City Cemetery. 

Mrs. Radney was born on November 23, 1930 to the late JC and Jewel Whitehurst.  She was employed by the State of Alabama Health Department for 20 years as the county registrar. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, shopping, and cooking.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Jimmy Whitehurst, two sisters Robbie Whitehurst Still and Carla Whitehurst Skeen.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, JT Radney, three children, John (Lisa) Radney, Lisa (Howard) Waters and Luan Radney Stevens; six grandchildren, Laura (Luke) Boatright, Logan (Jonathan) Richardson, Betsy (Brandon) Lester, Hannah Waters, Blake Stevens and Emiley Stevens; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
