            Mr. Franklin Massey of Enterprise, AL passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Medical Center Enterprise.  He was 71. 

            Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 21, 2013 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Ray Layton officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 until 8 pm. 

            Mr. Massey was born October 1, 1941 in Geneva County, AL to the late Judge and Hawtense Roach Massey.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 stepsons, Michael and Jeffrey Norton and 1 nephew, Kevin Wood. 

            Survivors include his longtime companion, Phyllis, Enterprise; 2 sons: Eric Massey (Dawn), Enterprise, Rick Norton (Tina), Newcastle, CA; 1 brother, Wayne Massey (Marti), Wicksburg, AL; 2 sisters: Louise Wood (Bual), Abbeville, AL, Cindy German, Ozark, AL; grandchildren: Kaleigh and Dalton, both of Enterprise, Erin Freitas (Jeremy), Cori Norton and Jeffrey Norton, all of Newcastle, CA; 2 great-grandchildren:  Bella and Brannon Freitas, Newcastle, CA; several nieces and nephews.
