Fredrick “Joe” Dixon, 72 passed away Monday April 27, 2015 at his residence.


Memorial services will be 10 am Monday May 4, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Will Siscel and Rev. Don Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.


Mr. Dixon was born in Pennsylvania and lived in Osceola before moving to Dothan in 1984. He was employed with General Cigar for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1995. Mr. Dixon was a member of Harvest Church.


Survivors include his son Jonathan Dixon and his wife, Jackie; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Alaina, Michelangelo; two great-grandchildren; two brothers Jim Dixon and Grant Dixon; three sisters, Judy Patrick, Sally Welds and Peggy Dixon; several nieces and nephews.
