            G. John Lohmeyer of Enterprise, AL passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the family residence.  He was 65.

            A celebration of life reception will be held between the hours of 10:00 am and 12 noon on Saturday, July 27, 2013 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Rd., Dothan, AL 36303.

            Mr. Lohmeyer was born July 10, 1948 in St. Louis, MO to the late Thelma Julia Hoffman and Oliver Lohmeyer.  He was retired from the U.S. Army, having served during Vietnam and as a military policeman.  He was currently working as a Technical Inspector at Army Fleet Support.

            Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hayes Lohmeyer, Enterprise; 2 sons: Christopher Lohmeyer (Krista), Ft. Hood, TX, Michael Lohmeyer, OK; 1 step-daughter, Amy Hall (Matthew), Birmingham, AL; 1 step-son, H. Wade Hayes, Ft. Worth, TX; 1 granddaughter, Elizabeth Lohmeyer; 3 step-grandchildren: Matthew Jr., Ally and Amanda Hall.
