Gary Martin Bostic, 71, of Dothan passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at a local hospital.


Private graveside services will be 2 pm Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Dothan City Cemetery with Rev. Bill Young officiating and Robert Byrd directing. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wiregrass Food Bank, 382 Twitchell Rd., Dothan, AL, 36303, or to the Dothan Rescue Mission, 216 East Crawford St., Dothan, AL, 36301, or to the charity of your choice.


Gary was born July 29, 1942 in Houston County and lived here the early part of his life. He was a 1960 graduate of Dothan High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served overseas in Turkey and was honorably discharged in 1968. He moved to Toledo, OH and was employed with Champion Spark Plug Co. for 37 years as a clerical supervisor until his retirement in 2004. He returned to Dothan in 2010 and lived here since. Gary loved to fish and was especially proud of his 3lb. 4 oz. crappie that he caught at Thomas Mill Creek in Lake Eufaula.


Survivors include his wife Linda Bostic; his brothers, Michael (Paula) Bostic, and Greg (Kay) Bostic; a nephew Aaron (Shelly) Bostic; nieces, Shannon (Mickey) Broadhead and Emily (Justin) Chappell.
